How the RentTrust browser extension handles supported listing page data, trust summaries, report access, save/watch interactions, and extension-specific privacy issues.

This Extension Privacy Notice explains how the RentTrust browser extension handles data when you use it on supported rental listing pages.
By installing the extension, enabling it on supported pages, or using extension-driven features, you acknowledge this Extension Privacy Notice and the main Privacy Policy.
1. What the extension does
The RentTrust extension is designed to provide user-facing rental trust features on supported listing pages, including:
- trust summaries;
- confidence indicators;
- listing memory support;
- review and evidence actions initiated by the user;
- save/watch functionality;
- report access.
2. Supported page interaction
When you visit a supported listing page, the extension may:
- read the page URL;
- detect listing-related metadata visible on the page;
- send relevant listing signals to RentTrust to identify or match the listing;
- request and display a trust widget;
- allow you to open a full report, submit a review, upload evidence, save a listing, or watch a listing.
3. Data the extension may process
The extension may process:
- the current listing page URL;
- source platform information;
- listing metadata displayed on supported pages, such as title, address, rent, size, images, and related signals where available;
- technical and diagnostic information required to render supported features securely;
- user-initiated actions such as clicking report links, saving a listing, or opening a review/evidence flow.
4. What the extension does not do
The extension is not intended to monitor unrelated browsing activity for sale, unrelated profiling, or advertising purposes.
The extension processes supported page data only to provide or improve the user-facing rental trust features described in the extension listing and in-product interface.
5. Why extension data is used
RentTrust uses extension-related data to:
- identify and match rental listings;
- display trust summaries and report links;
- support save/watch and review/evidence features;
- improve listing memory accuracy;
- prevent abuse and manipulation;
- maintain extension and service security.
6. Data sharing
Extension-related data may be shared only with service providers and infrastructure providers needed to operate the Services, or where required by law.
We do not sell extension user data.
7. User controls
You can stop extension processing by:
- disabling or uninstalling the extension;
- stopping use of save/watch and review features;
- contacting us regarding privacy rights or concerns.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect extension-related data.
