RentTrust provides a rental trust layer for online rental listings. The Services may include listing memory, community reviews, evidence-backed signals, trust summaries, report pages, saved/watch functionality, browser extension overlays, and moderation tools.

RentTrust is not a landlord, broker, property manager, public authority, or legal adviser.

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data.

A. Account data

• name, display name, or username;
• email address;
• authentication identifiers;
• account settings and preferences.

B. Listing and usage data

• listing URLs;
• source platform identifiers;
• saved listings;
• watchlist activity;
• report views;
• interactions with trust summaries, review forms, and evidence flows.

C. Review and submission data

• ratings and issue tags;
• context of your interaction with a listing;
• uploaded evidence;
• moderation status;
• verification status;
• related support or dispute communications.

D. Technical, security, and abuse-prevention data

• extension-related technical requests required to operate supported features.

• directly from you when you create an account, submit a review, upload evidence, save or watch a listing, request support, or contact us;
• automatically when you use the website or browser extension;
• from publicly accessible listing pages when our Services process listing information to provide user-facing rental trust features;
• from other users' submissions relating to listings, addresses, brokers, landlords, or rental-related interactions.

We use personal data for the following purposes:

• to provide and operate the Services;

• to generate trust summaries, confidence indicators, and risk flags;

Reviews, issue tags, trust summaries, and related listing-level signals may be visible to other users of the Services.

Evidence uploads are not automatically published in full. Evidence may be reviewed internally for moderation, verification, abuse prevention, trust scoring support, and legal compliance. We may redact, summarise, partially display, restrict, or decline publication of evidence where necessary to protect privacy, prevent abuse, comply with law, or reduce risk.

We do not guarantee that any user submission will be published, verified, or remain visible.

RentTrust may use rule-based or automated systems to assist with:

• listing matching;
• trust signal generation;
• confidence band generation;
• risk indicator generation;
• abuse detection;
• moderation prioritisation;
• delayed publication handling.

These outputs are assistive indicators only. They are not guarantees of legality, authenticity, identity, tenancy quality, registration rights, or listing safety.

Where appropriate, human review may be applied before or after a visibility or moderation decision.

Signals, indicators, and confidence bands are not scores in a financial, legal, or certification sense.

They are contextual indicators designed to assist users in interpreting available information and should not be interpreted as definitive judgments.

We may share personal data with:

• hosting, storage, analytics, communications, and security providers acting on our behalf;
• professional advisers where necessary;
• regulators, courts, law enforcement, or authorities where required by law or where necessary to protect our rights, users, or systems;
• other users only to the extent content or summaries are made visible through the Services.

We do not sell personal data.

If personal data is transferred outside the EEA or other relevant jurisdiction, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Typical retention periods include:
